See that? Exactly.

I have had my 2014 Mazda 6 Grand Touring since May. It is the best car i have ever owned. It drives like my previously departed 2008 VW GTI. But it does have it's faults. Aside from the high wind noise/road noise levels, the interior illumination at night leaves much to be desired. Here, let me show you what that picture should look like:

How much does it cost to add a few led's in the switches? The drivers window switch is lit, cant they just produce that switch and use it for the other three switches rather than producing two types? It's annoying to fumble around at night trying to figure out which is which. Cmon' Mazda. And while you are at it, please make all of the windows auto up/down. Here is the VW's door panel:

The door lock LED even changes from red to yellow depending on the lock/unlock setting.

Muscle memory. Learn where everything is then turn down the lights inside the car as low as they can go but to where you can still see your speed. That's what I do at night anyway. I don't want a bunch of glowing distractions. Mayeb it's just me but it helps me to see a bit better at night.

When I get in I usually roll all of the windows down. When I am backing out of the garage, two presses of the front and rear sets and one second later I am set. with the non auto switches press and hold, press and hold. Takes five times longer than it should.

I guess its a personal preference, I rarely have my windows all the way down so its a pain for me to press it and let it go down to half before I can let it go and make it go back up.

Yeah. I would rather just learn where they are, and have a little less complexity.

My old VW had amazing interior lighting among other things, they're truly hard to top.

Dumb question.....what does the rotary knob above the window switches do?

It looks like a heated mirror switch, but why can you only select one mirror at a time?

sorry for the late reply. The knob is the adjustment for the power mirrors. change left to right to adjust the corresponding mirror. turn the switch to the heated mirror position and both mirrors heat up. its a combo switch.
